What are the admission requirements?

All the programmes being offered require a pass in 12th std. examination of any education board as specified by Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE). Please refer to: Notification.pdf (aptonline.in)

There is web counselling for selection of the college.

What is the tuition fee for the college?

It is expected to be around Rs. 55,000/- per year. However, this is yet to be confirmed.

Are there any scholarships or financial aid opportunities available?

Yes, the relevant Freeships, Scholarships and Aid available from the State Government may be availed by the eligible students.

What are the available majors and programs at the college?

From the year 2023-24 the following programmes are being made available
B.Sc. Honours (Computer Science)
B.Sc. Honours (Microbiology)
B.C.A. Honours (Artificial Intelligence)
B.B.A. Honours

How many credits are required for graduation?

About 140 credits should be earned in four years.

What is the student-faculty ratio?

Initially it will be 30:1.

How are the class sizes structured?

The Theory class will be 50 or 60 students, depending on the programme.
The Laboratory sessions will be in smaller groups of 15 or 30 students in a batch.

Are there any specialized or honours programs?

Yes, from this year all the programmes are going to be Honours programmes.

What are the research opportunities for students?

The Andhra Pradesh Government, Education Ministry, APSCHE, S.V. University, together, have taken a visionary step to implement NEP 2020 from this year. The NEP approach includes various learning methodologies including research activities. The college will provide research activities in the field of Food and Water testing and in the fields related to AI.

How does the college support internships and co-op programs?

The college will follow the guidelines of the affiliating university for such programmes, apart from tying up with various organisations, if permitted by the university.

Are there study abroad or exchange programs?

These are being planned for future.

What academic support services are available to students?

Online learning material and Extended library hours will be available, as and when required. The college will invite expert guest faculty for sharing their experience in advanced topics.

Can students change their major or add a minor?

This will be decided by the affiliating university.

Campus Life FAQ’s

What is the campus like?

The college has a large campus of about 49 acres, with a botanical garden in 2.5 acres. The academic and admin building is a replica of the main building of Fergusson College, Pune, which was built in 1891. The hostels and staff quarters are on the campus. There is a canal flowing through the campus and some wilderness exists. It is a quiet place to study and work. The campus does have a Wi-Fi.

Are there on-campus housing options? What are they like?

There are two hostel blocks, one each for Boys and Girls. Each room can accommodate 3 students and has an attached toilet. Each block has a small kitchen and dining area.

What extracurricular activities and clubs are available?

The college intends to start a Trekking Club and a Literary Club. However, it is left to the students and their teacher/mentors to decide what Club they would like to start.

Are there any sports teams or athletic facilities?

The facilities will be made available to the students interested in sports and games.

How diverse is the student body?

We hope it will be diverse.

What resources are available for student health and well-being?

Doctor-on-call is available. A Sick-room facility with basic infra is being prepared.

Are there dining options on campus?

Yes. The Hostelites can eat in the mess or order their food from local eateries by makingthe payment. Day scholars can bring their lunch boxes or eat in the mess on payment of charges.

Is there a bookstore or campus store?

In future, yes there will be a cooperative store.

What transportation options are available for students?

APSRTC Buses ply from Tirupati and Renigunta. Take a bus going to Papanaidupeta or Gudimallam and alight at ‘Deccan’ bus stop after Kurrakalava village.
Shared autos are available from Renigunta bus stand.
College plans to introduce bus service from Tirupati, Renigunta and nearby places. The charges will depend on the pick-up/drop location.

Can students bring cars on campus?

Yes, and park them at designated parking. They will have to follow the rules in this regards.

Career Services FAQ’s

What career services and resources are provided to students?

The College will provide various training programmes for competitive exams and careers in UPSC and Defence in addition to the regular programmes. These will be structured to meet the requirements of the students. For those who wish to study abroad, the training in GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS etc. will be arranged.

Are there internship and job placement programs?

Yess, these will be in accordance with NEP 2020, and in association with Sri Venkateswara University.

How does the college support students in their career development?

Providing Soft-skills training will be made mandatory. Apart from this various Skill-development programmes will be made available.

Are there networking opportunities with alumni or industry professionals?

Yes, we will bring in the alumni of our other colleges in Maharashtra to interact with the students here and provide an atmosphere of belonging.

What is the success rate of graduates in finding employment or pursuing further education?

Well, we are just starting now, after four years we will know…..

Student Support FAQ’s

What support services are available for students with disabilities?

Wheel-chair access to the main building and hostels is provided. There is separate washroom on the ground floor for those needing wheelchair.

Are counseling and mental health services offered?

These are planned to be offered after the regular classes commence.

Is there a tutoring or academic support center?

It is in planning stage. However, the students can approach their designated mentors for support.

How can students get involved in student government or leadership opportunities?

The government programmes which invite student participations will be available to our students.

What resources are available for first-year students to ease the transition to college?

The students will be assigned a mentor who will help them through the initial phase. There will be introductory sessions to help students to know the surroundings and procedures in the campus.
